Why Study the Bible?

#5 It's a BLESSING!

God promises to bless those who know what his word says and then act in accordance with it.

“Blessed are they that keep his testimonies,

and that seek him with the whole heart.” Psalm 119:2

#4 It will change your LIFE!

Many lives have been radically transformed by the truths of God’s word! Every month we seem to receive a new testimony from a student who wants to tell us how God has changed his or her life through something that they have learned from God.

“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?

by taking heed thereto according to thy word.” Psalm 119:9

#3 It tells us WHO GOD IS and what He is like

Many Kiwis want to know who God is but don't know how to find out. Misinformation abounds in Aotearoa with religion and the cults often muddying the waters! Rather than ask some guru about God, why not read the book He wrote? The Bible contains ALL the answers to your questions – why not take a look!

#2 It teaches us about OURSELVES

One of the greatest proofs that the Bible is all that it claims to be, is its honesty. The Bible pulls no punches and holds nothing back as it describes in stark detail what the heart of man is really like. Rather than only telling us what we want to hear, the Bible is like a mirror that shows us what we really are and not what we think we are like. The more you read it, the more you will see how true and relevant God’s word is for you today!

#1 It REVEALS TO US the path to God

Have you ever noticed that most forms of philosophy and religion try to tell you how you can get to some version of God? Whether they attempt this through the local priest, the spirits, or just plain human reasoning, they are all trying to set you on some path. The Bible on the other hand, presents God's plan to REACH OUT TO US through his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Find out more about God’s plan through the NZCSB!

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,

by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1 Peter 1:23
